The Falcone Report
The second I’m finished writing this newsletter I’ll be settling down on the couch with some popcorn and watching the Bride of Frankenstein as is my tradition. October is spooky movie month, and I always make sure I include the James Whale classic. The Universal Monsters make an annual appearance, as do some Ray Harryhausen flicks, but I also have been enjoying this new crop of horror flicks: Terrifier, Maxxxine, and Smile have all been really solid contributions to the genre. Old school slasher stuff rotates in and out of my watch cycle, but Nightmare on Elm Street is due for another viewing. If I dare…

Head down. Almost finished the novel. Full steam ahead and don’t look back.

Puncheons and Flagons: A Dungeons & Dragons Cocktail Book
|
My podcast co-host Andrew Wheeler has recently released his Dungeons & Dragons cocktail book. Drawing inspiration from the settings, characters, spells, and monsters of the famous RPG, this book has 75 delicious concoctions to make any game night one to remember.
|
Each recipe is for 2 drinks (because D&D has a least two people) and the book is fully of fun lore, gorgeous pictures, and really is a must have for any D&D (or cocktail) fan.
|
The cocktail this month is from this book so I hope you enjoy!

The Studio is having another Kickstarter campaign! And not for one, but TWO anthologies. Find more details and back this project here.

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake for 30 seconds to chill. Strain and divide the mixture evenly between two coupe glasses. Garnish with an edible flower.
|
The flavours have a great mix and this is a nice sip while you are rolling dice to kill goblins.
